Enrollment Policy
New Enrollments
If you are enrolling for the first time please complete the enrolment form and select your preferred lesson time and day and we will get back to you within 3 days to confirm your selection.
Term Re-Enrollment
Current participants enrolled in Rising Star Tennis Academy (RSTA) lessons are given priority for the next term. All participants are automatically re-enrolled for the following term – in the same class on the same day at the same time (unless advised before the start of the term). However, to confirm the enrollment, payment must be made by the due date. If you do not wish to continue lessons, please let us know as soon as possible.
PLEASE NOTE: If payment is not received by the due date, your place in the program may be lost.
Annual Re-Enrollment
Current participants are required to re-enroll each year so we can update your details. If you need to change days please contact the Program Director prior to re-enrolling.
Changing Programs
Should Rising Star Tennis Academy Coaches feel a participant would benefit from moving to a different level, they will be contacted to discuss the options. Ability is the main reason for group change rather than age.
Important Information
Once payment has been received your place will be confirmed in the program. Your selected spot is held for you, so if you require a change of day or time for the next term, please let RSTA Staff know prior to the payment due date. If after you have made payment, you need to change days or times please contact RSTA immediately. RSTA will do whatever possible to try and accommodate your preferred options, however should all classes be full, then you must remain with the original day and time.
Payments And Refunds Policy
Full payment is required by the start of the new term. If the terms of the account exceed 7 days from the Invoice Payment Due Date, a $15 late payment fee may apply.
No refunds will be given for non-attendance at group or private lessons. A refund or credit may be offered if you have a valid medical reason which prevents you/your child from attending three or more classes in a row.
Methods of Payment
Payments may be made by Credit cards via our Pro Shop or online via the secure payment gateway on our website, cheque made payable to “Rising Star Tennis Academy” or cash.
Late Payments
If payment is not made on time or an arrangement made by contacting Rising Star Tennis beforehand, your child may be removed from the Class List, and the Coach will not allow the child to take part in the lesson.
Privacy Policy
Rising Star Tennis Academy will only store information relevant for coaching and billing purposes and this is only accessible by RSTA staff for work purposes. Private information will never be shared with a third party or advertising agency.
Supervision Of Juniors Policy
Rising Star Tennis Academy coaches are not responsible for supervising children outside of lesson time.
Weather Policy
If lessons are washed out you will receive a SMS text message informing you of the wash out. If you do not receive an SMS message, lessons will be conducted at the usual class time. If you have not heard from us please always assume the lesson is on. Please do not call us. Excessive Heat: Group lessons may be cancelled if the temperature at the venue is, in our judgment, likely to be excessively hot during the lesson time.
Wash Outs
If lessons are washed out a Wash Out session if needed will be offered to catch up on missed lessons. There will be up to Wash Out session if needed offered each term if required for participation stream and one wash out session if needed for our competition and performance stream programs. Wash Out sessions will run at the same time/day/venue as regular lessons within the term of the washout and not added to the following term sessions. All unattended or washed out sessions must be made up during the term of enrolment, if not attended the make up session will be forfieted and no credit given or alternative session given in other terms. Enrolment to the washout session is to be confirmed by registering with the Program Director.
Cancellation Policy
Group Lessons: After booking in your child, written notice must be given of decisions not to continue in class. Term Fees are payable if notification not provided.
Private/Semi-Private Lessons: Cancellation must be given 24 Hours in advance of lesson to reschedule. If both participants cancel with more than 24 hours notice the lesson will be made up at a time mutually agreed between the parties, however if one pupil is to miss no make-up class will be offered as the session still goes ahead with the other pupil regardless.
All classes cancelled by Rising Star Tennis will be made up at a time mutually agreed between the parties. Make up lessons will only be given if the participant is unable to attend due to injury or illness (sufficient notice needs to be given), or the lesson is unable to go ahead due to extreme heat policy or wet weather policy.
Late Cancellation
All cancellations made by the participant, with less than 24 hours notice, will be charged as if the lesson took place. No make-up lessons will be given for late cancellations.
Missed Class Policy
Make up lessons are permitted under the following conditions only:
Absences must be communicated to Rising Star Tennis 24 hours prior to the class time and the request must be made for a make up lesson.
Make up lessons are offered as a courtesy by RSTA and are subject to availability of an appropriate and equivalent program place.
A maximum of 2 make up lessons are permitted per term.
Make up lessons are not transferable to other terms or participants.
NOTE – all make up lessons must be completed during the enrolled term and no credit will be available for not booking a make up lesson.
Make up lessons will be offered for lessons lost due to inclement weather (Wash Out Policy)
Credit Policy
Lesson payments are non-refundable.
Public Holidays And Long Weekends Policy
There will be no coaching offered on public holidays. Lessons will go ahead as per normal on a Friday and Saturday of a long weekend where the public holiday falls on a Monday. If a public holiday falls on a Friday or Saturday scheduled lesson time, this lesson will not go ahead but be rescheduled for week 9 or 10 of the term.
Hot Shots/Cardio Tennis Registration Policy
By enrolling in any Hot Shots (Red, Orange or Green ball) group lesson or tournament, or in any Cardio Tennis session, you give RSTA permission to register you as a participant with Tennis Australia (TA). This will include passing your contact details to TA. If RSTA register you, you will receive benefits including a free T-Shirt.
